- Value to Values: Determining the Worth of Specialty Coffee
Edward (Ted) Fischer is the Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor of Anthropology and professor of Management and Health Policy at Vanderbilt University, where he also directs the Institute for Coffee Studies.
He founded an award-winning social enterprise in Guatemala to combat malnutrition, and he advises the World Health Organization on behavioral and cultural insights.
His research focusses on issues of political economy, values, wellbeing, and development.
He has authored or edited a number of books, including, most recently, Making Better Coffee: How Maya Farmers and Third Wave Tastemakers Create Value.
